Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance to roll out new ad campaign

MUMBAI: Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance has launched a new ad campaign that aims to redirect the focus on the insurance needs of the customers.

The ad campaign revolves around the tag line "Insurance se badhkar hai aapki zaroorat", which emphasises that identifying the customer’s needs and requirements are of utmost priority for Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance, before offering an insurance solution, the company said.

The ad campaign depicts the real life situation of a common man, wherein a person who seeks advice, receives the advice, but an incorrect one.

The first TVC shows that a patient goes for an eye check-up, but the doctor‘s asks him to do various health tests rather than focusing on the actual problem of the patient. Similarly in the second TVC, an employee seeks IT solution from an IT expert but rather than identifying the problem, the IT expert gives him a wrong solution.

"Our research has shown that there is a huge gap in the insurance industry in understanding the needs of the consumer and selling of insurance policies. Most of the insurance companies fails to understand the actual need of the customers and focus on how to maximise the sale of their products," Edelweiss Group head – marketing communications Shabnam Panjwani said.

"This is the first communication campaign from Edelweiss aimed at the mass retail audience. I believe this campaign will go a long way in establishing Edelweiss Tokio Life as well as Edelweiss brand awareness amongst the retail target Group," Panjwani added.

The ad campaign has been created by Contract advertising.
