Delhi to host Outstanding Merchandising Achievement (OMA) Awards 2016

MUMBAI: Point of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI) India, the global association for marketing-at-retail,is to hold the 6th edition of Outstanding Merchandising Achievement (OMA)Awards on 4th August, 2016, at New Delhi?s Pragati Maidan. The prestigious OMA Awards worldwide has trekked over 55 years and recognises the most innovative, engaging, and effective displays at retail.

POPAI is a non-profit global organisation for practitioners of marketing-at-retail ? brand marketers,retailers,designers,and producers of retail communication. Headquartered at Chicago, it covers 60 countries and more than 1400 members worldwide. The core strategic objective is to establish and maintain industry standards, education and training, globalization of standards to elevate shopper?s experience in the marketplace.

This year the entries for the OMA Awards have been filed and over 250 participants will be part of the Awards. Some of the prominent participants include Brandmark Solutions Pvt Ltd, Classic Display Pvt Ltd, Communique Marketing Pvt Ltd, D-Displays Pvt Ltd, EffxxInc, Fizzy Foodlab Pvt Ltd, GV Displays Pvt Ltd, Madison India, M Live Events & Promotions, Mondelez India, Parkar Communications, Planet Dezign Pvt Ltd, Posterscope India, Renam Retail Pvt Ltd, Sina Retail Pvt Ltd, SAB Creations Pvt Ltd, Studio J, Spectrum Scan India Pvt Ltd and Vista Retail Pvt Ltd.

The jury members of the prestigious OMA Awards 2016 include SumitChaplot - Head ? Merchandizing, Loreal India, Deepak Chakravarty, Head - Visual Merchandising, Adidas Group, Tom Harris, Development Director, POPAI ASIA Ltd, Michelle Adams, Chairman, POPAI Global and Darshana Shah, Chief Marketing Officer, Aditya Birla Health Insurance to name a few.

THE DISPLAY OF THE YEAR AWARD (DOY) is the most prestigious award of the OMAs and the highest recognition in the in-store marketing industry. One DOY Award is awarded in each Division (Permanent and Temporary) and is chosen from the Gold Award winners.

All winners will be announced at the OMA Awards Celebration on Thursday, August 4, 2016. A list of winners will be published onwww.popai.in the following day.
