MUMBAI: Kerala Tourism has joined hands with Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM to promote tourism in the state.

This marketing initiative was specially conceived to capitalise on the 'Dream Season' tour packages launched by Kerala Tourism for the domestic travelers.

As part of the initiative, Mirchi RJ's Aakriti (Delhi), Suven (Mumbai), Anand Rai (Bangalore) and Ankit (Ahmedabad) started on their Kerala tour yesterday from Thiruvananthapuram.

They will be updating listeners from the various locations and also hosting a lot of on-air contests, giving listeners a chance to win an all paid trip to Kerala. Their journey ends on 9 May in Cochin.

"It's going to be a tough year ahead for Tourism. However, we are happy that we are braced to meet the challenges - not just by enhancing our relationships with customers and developing new ones, but also by exploring new growth grounds. As part of the new marketing initiatives, we are happy to associate with Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM in key originating markets to showcase Kerala and to attract tourists to the state," said Tourism director and IAS M Sivasankar.
