MUMBAI: HT Media's Fever 104 FM has rolled out an initiative around World Tobacco Day encouraging people to quit smoking and desist from use of tobacco.

The initiative is spread across all the four fever stations namely Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata. As part of the initiative, the radio station has a contest running today that will have smokers and the non-smokers compete against each other.

"Getting on board doctors and experts and talking about the side effects is clichéd. We wanted to take a very informal and interesting way to pass our message to listners. Instead of advising youngsters, taking this route helps where audience can connect with us," says Fever FM national marketing & promotions and station head Delhi Neeraj Chaturvedi.
