MUMBAI: Castrol, the official sponsor for 2010 FIFA World Cup, has stitched a one-year global partnership deal with football manager, Arsène Wenger.

In his new capacity with Castrol, Arsène will be promoting Castrol football initiatives in a way that will help engaging viewers through print advertising and online content.

Castrol senior VP Mike Johnson explains, "We value Wenger's rigorous and highly strategic approach to football management. We are very proud of the success of the Castrol Index and will continue to provide unique insights, and much more, along the road to South Africa."

Wenger first collaborated with Castrol during UEFA Euro 2008, helping them develop and promote the formula for measuring the performances of players on the pitch - the Castrol Index.
