Discovery Channel launches new logo, campaign

MUMBAI: Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific (DNAP), a Discovery Communications division, has launched a new logo for its flagship channel, Discovery.

To support the new logo launch, the network has also unveiled a new campaign, centred on the theme, ‘The World Is Just Awesome’.

Says Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific SVP and general manager India Rahul Johri, “The new logo reflects a fresh and contemporary feel, symbolising our commitment to deliver refreshing and inspiring programmes.”

The new logo has been designed by Boston-based Viewpoint Creative. The agency has linked the globe into Discovery’s ‘D’, thereby integrating the world and the brand.

Discovery Channel is in its 13th year in India and has introduced a special programming band, ‘Ultimate Discovery’, at 9 pm.
