NEW DELHI: Mahindra Group has launched its new vehicle, Xylo, in South Africa.

Says Mahindra & Mahindra president-automotive sector and chairman Mahindra - South Africa Pawan Goenka, “The Xylo a global people carrier and we are delighted to launch it in South Africa, a strategic market for Mahindra’s overall globalisation strategy.”

Xylo will be available across two luxury models - E8 and E2.

The South African vehicle market is one of the largest in Africa. Mahindra South Africa has expanded its reach in the country with over 30 dealership deals since it commenced operations in October 2004, claims the company.

Mahindra has also expanded into other sub-Saharan countries and is currently exporting vehicles to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Swaziland and Namibia.

Xylo was first introduced in India in January 2009.
