MUMBAI: The Pizza Company, part of Thailand-based Minor International's (MINT) Minor Food Group, has partnered with Franchise India Holdings Limited (FHIL), a franchise and retail solutions provider, to launch its restaurant chain in India.

The Pizza Company is seeking Indian partners to bring the brand concept to the country by providing partners with territorial rights.

FHIL president Gaurav Marya says, "The Pizza Company brand is a good opportunity for both Indian investors and consumers. The family restaurant concept is poised for success within the growing organized restaurant segment of India."

The Pizza Company will work with their local Indian partners to customise everything from product taste, restaurant décor and marketing to ensure that the offering is tailored to local Indian tastes and preferences.

The restaurant chain has its presence across countries like Thailand, China, Cambodia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Jordan with over 240 outlets.

The organized pizza market comprising large MNC brands is worth $147 million according to Food Franchising Report 2009, published by FHIL and FICCI-CIFTI.
