Mumbai: Chandradeep Mitra has put in his papers as Mudra Max president in a bid to set up his own venture. Mitra had joined Mudra Max (then OMS) in November 2005.

Confirming the development to Indiantelevision.com, Mitra said, "Yes, I have put in my papers at Mudra Max and shall be serving my notice period till February-end."

Talking about his future plans, Mitra said, "I plan to set up my own consultancy firm in the coming months that will specialise in training and coaching too."

With the exit of Mitra, both the Mudra media brands, Mudra Connext and Mudra Radar, which operate under the Mudra Max business line, will now report directly to Mudra Group chief operating officer and Mudra Max chief executive officer Pratap Bose.

Says Bose, "At present, we don't intend to seek any replacement for Mitra and I will oversee the brands directly."

Prior to joining Mudra, Mitra was Lintas Personal president, where he was also heading Lintas Healthcare.

In 2008, the Mudra group had introduced the media umbrella brand Mudra Max with two separate media planning and buying agencies: Radar, which only handles the business of Mudra owner Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (R-ADAG) and Connext, which handles the media buying business for non-ADAG brands such as Sify, Zipcash, ICI Paints and Spice Mobile.
