Marks & Spencer Reliance India appoints Nandini Sethuraman Head-Marketing

NEW DELHI:Marks & Spencer Reliance India, the joint venture between Marks & Spencer India and Reliance Retail, has appointed Nandini Sethuraman as head-marketing.

Prior to joining Marks & Spencer Reliance India, Sethuraman was Spencer Retail vice president-private label and brand strategy.

Sethuraman, who will be based in Gurgaon, will report to Ashman and will be responsible for all marketing, corporate communications and CSR initiatives.

Says Marks & Spence India chief executive Mark Ashman, "I am delighted to welcome Sethuraman to our leadership team. Her international marketing experience, along with her knowledge of the Indian consumer, will enable Marks & Spencer to successfully position its brand for the Indian market."

Sethuraman is a marketer with approximately 15 years of experience and has with international companies including IKEA, Pepsico and Hershey's in markets such as Canada and the Middle East.

Earlier in 2008, Marks & Spencer had formed a joint venture with Reliance. Currently Marks & Spencer has 15 stores in India selling womenswear, menswear and childrens clothing, along with homeware and beauty products.
