NEW DELHI: Japan-based design agency Basco’s is set to launch its first Indian outfit in Mumbai in a bid to expand its footprints across Asia.

The India venture, Basco’s Japan, is being launched jointly by Basco’s, Maido Enterprises and La Ditta (Japan).

Basco’s Japan will be headed by Basco’s chief operating officer Harry Cheng and will specialise in developing new products as well as all aspects of commercial design for the domestic market.

Says Cheng, “Basco’s will advise clients on bringing in new products to the domestic market. In India, we will bring the know-how of consumer consumption growth that Japan has undergone and find ways to apply it in the Indian context.”

Some of Basco’s key clients in the Japanese market include Singapore Airlines, Emirates Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Ritz Carlton Hotel, Audi, Adidas, Panasonic, Sharp, Mitsui Bussan and Sojitz.
