Mudra's 'Water' wins IAA Creative Lantern Award

MUMBAI: The India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) has named Water, Mudra's brand strategy and design consultancy unit, as the winner of the first IAA Creative Lantern Award.

As a part of the social initiative, a total of five creative works were shortlisted that included Quadrant Communications, Triton Communication, Interface and JWT India.

The award was presented by Dr Rajendra Pachauri, a Nobel Prize laureate, on 23 January in Mumbai.

The Creative Lantern Award has been constituted to acknowledge the best campaign for mobilising funds for the "Lighting a Billion Lives" programme. The programme is spearheaded by The Energy Resources Institute (TERI) and supported by the India Chapter of IAA.

The jury members who were involved in the shortlisting process for the award were Ogilvy & Mather chairman Piyush Pandey, Aditya Birla Group chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla, Hindustan Unilever CEO Nitin Paranjpe, Asia Pacific Convenor of the jury and IAA area director Pradeep Guha, NDTV Media CEO and President of IAA's India Chapter Raj Nayak, director and actor Farhan Akhtar, HSBC Companies India group general manager and country head Naina Lal Kidwai, columnist Shobhaa De, and The Times of India Group editor Jaideep Bose.
