NEW DELHI: Ogilvy and Mather has made changes in its top management for the North America region.

For starters, O&M has promoted John Seifert as chairman of North America Region.

Prior to the promotion, Seifert was chairman of Ogilvy’s global client organisation which serves 25 global clients from every corner of the Ogilvy network.

Bill Gray, the present co-CEO, will become vice chairman, North America, focusing on core portfolio of strategic accounts, and network developments.

Carla Hendra will continue as co-CEO, Ogilvy North America and chairman of the New York Office, and will report to Seifert.

As co-CEOs, Hendra and Gray reported to worldwide CEO Miles Young.

Young said, “North America is our most important region. These changes provide the clarity of leadership which the new Ogilvy I envisage requires, and will allow three exceptional individuals to deploy their talents to their fullest potential. In John we have a leader who listens - to our clients, our people, and the world around us. He is exceptionally well qualified for this role.”

The appointment is the first major move by Young since he took over the network.
