NEW DELHI: Pepsi Co U.K. has launched six new flavours of its popular crisp Walker like Cajun Squirrel, Crispy Duck, Onion Bhaji, Fish and Chips, Chocolate and Chilli and Builder's Breakfast.

The company launched these flavours following its competition 'Do us a Flavour' which was launched in July, 2008 where Pepsi Co had asked the public to suggest new flavours.

A team of judges, including Heston Blumenthal, the chef who invented snail porridge and bacon and egg ice cream, selected six winners from more than 1 million entries.

The six finalists will each receive £10,000.

The flavour which receives the most votes from the public via Walker's website by 1 May, 2009 will remain on sale while the other five will be discontinued.

The eventual winner will receive £50,000 and 1 per cent of all profits which is estimated to be at £57,000 a year.

The campaign is developed and managed by experiential agency Not Actual Size with digital work by Jigsaw and above the line creative by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO.

Earlier in May 2008, Pepsi Co India has launched a more or less similar contest featuring its brand ambassadors M.S. Dhoni and Saif Ali Khan, 'Fight for your flavour' wherein it had urged the consumer to choose between two flavours - Spunky Pimento and Balsamic Blast.

While the most voted flavour will remain in the market, the other will be discontinued.
