T-10 Gully Cricket ropes in HUL’s Rin as title sponsor for first season

MUMBAI: T-10 Gully Cricket has roped in Hindustan Unilever (HUL) as the title sponsor for its inaugural season scheduled to start on 22 January.

Hindustan Unilever will sponsor the tournament through its detergent brand Rin. The event will be telecast live on DD-Sports and will also be beamed on DD-1.

HUL marketing manager premium laundry Samardeep Subandh said, “It gives us pleasure in winning the title sponsorship rights of the T-10 Gully Cricket tournament. Helping discover and develop the latent cricketing talent at the grass roots level across India fits with the Unilever mission of adding vitality with brands that help people feel good, look good and get more out of life.”

He further added, “At HUL, we always emphasise on nurturing and recognizing talent and this is one more achievement towards nurturing unheralded talent for the game of cricket in this country.”

T-10 Gully Cricket Tournament director Anoop Wadhwa said, “Rin’s values of confidence, performance and optimism with Hindustan Unilever’s ambition of making a real difference in every Indian’s life is in sync with what we plan to achieve through the T – 10 Gully Cricket endeavour. On behalf of T-10 Gully Cricket, I would like to thank everyone who participated and supported us throughout the bidding process.”

The tournament will begin on 22 January in Kanpur and will visit across India to Lucknow, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Surat, Nashik and Pune. The finals will be held on 14 February in Mumbai.
