BANGALORE Reliance digital, the consumer durables and information technology arm of Reliance Retail, has announced its sales tie-up with Reva Electric Car Company (RECC) for retailing its electric cars through Reliance digital outlets across the country. The tie-up further expands the geographical footprint for Reva in the country.

RECC is the manufacturer of India's first electric car.

In addition to consumer electronics and information technology products and services, Reliance digital will retail Reva through its digital stores in Hyderabad and Delhi NCR in the initial phase.

Later, the initiative will be extended to other cities. This initiative by Reliance digital is an attempt to promote the environment friendly car Reva.

Sale of electric cars at Reliance digital outlets is an initiative from RECC to look at alternate methods to reach customers apart from the conventional systems. RECC, being a pioneer in electric cars has successfully implemented internet based distribution in London to sell its cars through its distributor Going Green.

RECC also has an online collaboration with Autojunction for selling REVAi - the current model of Reva, through its auto business portal, autojunction.in in Kolkata.
