MUMBAI: FMCG major CavinCare has entered into a strategic partnership with Paris-based global marketer Coty in a bid to promote the Adidas personal care range in India.

Both parties state that the initiative is an attempt to boost product sale across the country apart from helping the Adidas brand establish a strong foothold in the male personal care segment.

CavinKare chairman and managing director CK Ranganathan says, “Personal care is Cavinkare’s core business. The Indian deodorant and fine fragrance market is vastly untapped. With this alliance, we are hoping to unlock the potential of the Indian fragrance market with a lifestyle brand like adidas. CavinKare has, over the past 25 years, gained a suitable understanding of the Indian consumer and has established a good distribution network too. We hope both of these will help us in our new endeavour.”

Diefining the role that Coty will play as part of this alliance, Coty regional managing director Venkatesh Babu states, “As license partners, Coty will be assisting CavinKare to build up the market for adidas personal care.”
