MUMBAI: Aaron Boey, who until now was interim leader of Levi Strauss & Co (LS&CO) Asia Pacific Division, has been elevated to president.

In his new capacity, Boey will be based in Singapore and will report directly to LS&CO president and chief executive officer John Anderson.

Says Anderson, "With keen understanding of the consumer markets in the region and his rigor in driving success, Boey is an excellent choice to lead this work across our Asia Pacific division."

Boey joined Levi Strauss APac Division in 2005 as regional managing director wherein he oversaw the company's businesses all across Asia, excluding Japan.

Boey has approximately 20 years of experience in new product development, brand management and global marketing. He has also worked with Asian and foreign multinational companies in the consumer goods/retail sector including Asia Pacific Breweries, Singapore Airlines, Philips Electronics and Brown-Forman.
