MUMBAI: After stitching distribution deals with DTH and cable TV operators, MGM has launched a marketing campaign to create awareness of its channel across the metros in India.

With the tag line 'The Lion Roars Across India,' the month-long campaign will cover print, radio and online.

“We want fans of Hollywood films to know that MGM is launching in India everywhere. We showcase Hollywood in all its glory and all its eras. That is the mesage that the campaign will deliver,” says MGM Networks president Bruce Tuchman.

For radio, it has tied up with stations across the country while print ads will appear in major dailies. For online, the company is using banners on sites.

MGM, which is distributed by Star Den in India, has recently become available on Airtel Digital TV. “We are also being fed into dozens of cable systems across the country,” says Tuchman.

Sticking to the subscription revenue model, MGM has not taken a decision yet as to when to start carrying ads on the channel in India.
