NEW DELHI: Online travel portal Makemytrip.com has partnered with direct-to-home platform Airtel Digital TV to offer holiday packages to travellers across the country.

Says Makemytrip.com chief innovation officer Rajnish Kapur, "Taking our distribution channels forward from online and mobile, we are now adding television to this mix. Not only would this reach out to more customers and extend our customer base but will also act as a value-added service to Airtel DTH subscribers."

The new service allows subscribers of Airtel DTH to view holiday packages on iTravel channel.

To order for a particular package, subscribers need to send the package code via an SMS to Makemytrip. Consequently, a makemytrip executive will speak to the subscriber and will provide him with the required details. Payment can be made either through a credit card, a debit card, cash card or an internet enabled online bank account.
