MUMBAI: Tequila India, TBWA India's marketing services arm, is strengthening its Mumbai operations. As part of this initiative, the company has appointed Ravi Pinto as its client services director. Prior to this, Pinto was with Ogilvy Action Mumbai as its account director.

Pinto, who has already taken over, brings with him over eight years of experience in brand activation. He has handled clients like World Gold Council, Tata Housing, E-Serve, ICICI Venture, Vodafone, Pidilite, HSBC, Barclays and Taxsmile.

Additionally, Tequila has also elevated Vinod Vijaykumar as senior GM from his earlier position of GM (South). Vijaykumar has over three years of experience with Tequila in the South. He has nurtured key businesses including Tata Goldplus, Spar, SABMiller, Apple and Titan Eye Plus in Bangalore.

"I am sure the new appointments will make Tequila a robust marketing services force in Mumbai. We are aggressively investing in Mumbai across functions. Tequila has acquired sizable business in Mumbai in the last two quarters, and is now a strong contender for several key accounts.

"Before the end of the year, we will also be adding considerable width to our offer by adding on new and relevant competencies," said Tequila India MD and national creative director John Mathew.
