MUMBAI: Dentsu India has appointed Sai Nagesh as Dentsu Media chief growth officer.

Working closely with Dentsu Communications and Dentsu Media managing director Ruchira Raina, Nagesh's mandate will be to steer Dentsu India's media business forward, both organically and inorganically.

Prior to this, Nagesh was associated with INX Media as part of the team at 9X.

Says Raina, "Dentsu Media manages our group-wide media buying while being custodians to Dentsu's global proprietary tools and knowledge databases. With Nagesh on board, we infuse a fresh driving force, to lead our teams to leverage our resources, lineage and global experience thereby delivering far greater value through finer, targeted media-engagements vis-à-vis conventional offerings."

Nagesh has 23 years of experience in the business of media, planning and buying and has worked on assignments at Lintas, Mudra, Ulka, MAA Bozell and Contract Advertising. He was also part of the management team that set up WPP Marketing Communications (now Group M) in India.
