MUMBAI: Mudra Communications has won the creative duties for World Gold Council’s (WGC) ‘shopping festival’ project.

In a multi-agency pitch, Mudra won over rivals Lowe, Saatchi & Saatchi and JWT.

“Shopping festival is a new property we are building. We were looking at new agencies for this project as this is more of a consumer-led than a brand-related activity. We were looking for fresh ideas. We decided on Mudra,” says WGC India head marketing and development Madhumita Dutta.

The shopping festival starts 19 September and ends on19 October.

Currently, the creative duties for WGC rest with Ogilvy India and BBH India.

“We have already submitted print, radio and TVC campaign for the project to WGC,” says Mudra Mumbai EVP and head Arijit Ray.

The creative mix for this project will include TV, radio, print, outdoor and in-store promotions.
