MUMBAI: Mobile community mig33 has tied up with five teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL) - Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers and Deccan Chargers - to launch mobile fan clubs for each of the teams.

mig33 will help the concerned teams to connect with an Indian fan base globally through the mobile. The fan clubs will provide cricket followers with latest news and announcements on the IPL franchises. Fans will also be able to watch matches with live ball-by-ball commentary in dedicated chat rooms.

The mobile community will also sell virtual items and merchandise for each teams soon. Additionally, they will also feature virtual cricket stadiums where fans can take part in live, moderated chats with their favourite cricket stars, team coaches and cheerleaders.

Says mig33 CEO Steve Boom, “Cricket, like all sports, is fundamentally a social activity. Mobile provides the ideal platform for cricket fans around the world to engage directly with one other as well as chat with their cricket heroes, while catching the live cricket action. We are delighted that the IPL teams have established their official mobile fan clubs on mig33 so that they can use this new communications channel to help build their fan base in India and around the world. With so many IPL teams participating on mig33, cricket fans can expect a feast of entertainment to be readily available at their fingertips.”
