Publicis Groupe to handle Visa’s Olympics sponsorship creative account

NEW DELHI: Publicis Groupe has bagged the pan-European ad account of Visa’s sponsorship for the London 2012 Olympics.

The agency won the account following a pitch against WPP, Saatchi & Saatchi, ZenithOptimedia, Publicis Dialog and Digitas.

In February, Saatchi & Saatchi has introduced a new TVC for Visa featuring a naked man running through the desert in a desperate attempt to get to his wedding ceremony. On the way he buys a ring, a suit and he gets a haircut before arriving at the church on time. The TVC ends with the tagline, ‘Life flows better with Visa’.
