DELHI: American beverage company Coca-Cola has bought a minority stake in Innocent,
the British fruit and smoothie drinks maker brand, for $44 million.
The move is part
of Innocent's strategic decision to expand its foothold in Europe.
Said Innocent co-founder
Richard Reed, "We chose Coca-Cola as an investor because along with providing
us with funds, they can help us get our products out to more people in more places.
UK-based
Innocent presently operates in 13 European countries.
