NEW DELHI: In an effort to recommend citizens to vote during the elections, 93.5 Red FM has launched its election-based campaign, Vote karega ya karvaaon. Currently on air, the campaign urges citizens to vote at the time of general elections since it’s a "once-in-five-years opportunity to make a real difference to our nation".

Says 93.5 Red FM head marketing and head station – Mumbai Anuj Singh, “ Our aim is to raise issues that affect the common man and then take action, in this case, albeit forcefully! In a city like Mumbai, awareness of the elections is not the main issue but it is inclination and motivation to actually go out and vote. And with this initiative, we will make sure people go and vote.”

As a part of the campaign, the radio channel will air promos urging listeners to take responsibility for voters in their social groups including their society and office.

Additionally, Red FM has also tied up with non-government organisations (NGO) to answer queries on elections on each and every show. As part of the initiative, starting 18 April, RJs of Red FM along with celebrities will personally go door-to-door and remind people to vote during the polls.

Also, on 30 April (the election day) personnel from Red FM will visit homes at various locations and get people out to vote.

For the on-air initiative, Red FM will speak to people who have caste their votes at the voting booths.
