MUMBAI: Taj TV India has announced that Manoj Padmanabhan has been promoted as national head of ad sales with effect from today.

Padmanabhan replaces Gargi Kaul who leaves after spending six years with the company.

Taj TV India GM Rukin Kizilbash said, "Manoj is the ideal man to take over as head of ad sales. He joined us four years ago and has risen steadily through the ranks. He has impressed me tremendously with his hard work and aggression, and his uncanny ability to activate new clients and get them onto sports.

"With Manoj at the helm of things to spearhead our sales for the two upcoming India tours - India's Tour of West Indies (4 ODIs - Jun/July) and the triangular in Zimbabwe (India/ South Africa/ Zimbabwe - Jul/Aug), I have no doubt we will maximise the revenues on these two tours."

Padmanabhan says, "I am extremely thrilled to take up the reins as head of ad sales for Ten Sports as we head into a new and exciting phase of our evolution. With five out of the 10 cricket boards under our belt, there is going to be plenty of non stop action over the next couple of years, and we aim to take full advantage of this with our clients. We are gearing up to take the revenues to the next level here at Ten Sports."

Commenting on the departure of Gargi Kaul, Kizilbash says, "Gargi has decided to leave us after close to six years of dedicated service and selfless devotion to selling Ten Sports, and she has done a tremendous job in helping us reach where we are today. She is one of the best sports salespersons in the country, and her departure will be a real loss to Ten Sports."

Ten Sports' line up of cricket over the next six months includes the Pakistan/ Australia ODI series at the new Dubai Sports City Stadium, the two India tours to West Indies and Zimbabwe, Pakistan and New Zealand's tours to Sri Lanka, and England's Tour to South Africa.
