Nestlé launches adds jelly sweets to confectionary biz

NEW DELHI: Nestlé has added to its confectionery business by launching Rowntree’s Randoms – jelly sweets.

The new product will be made available in the market from 18 May.

Says Nestlé UK Trade communications manager Graham Walker, "We are very excited about this product, which offers variety like never before in fruit confectionery. Retailers are advised to stock up as soon as possible. The new product should be displayed next to the till as well as on the main fixture to capitalise on what is expected to be one of the biggest confectionery launches of 2009.”

Rowntree’s Randoms is targeted towards teenager and youth between the age group of 16-24 years.

In addition, to boost the launch, Nestle will soon launch a £6 million campaign which will include television commercial, outdoor advertising and internet.

The TVC will go on air on 5 June, 2009.

Rowntree’s Randoms will be available in a 50gm bag.
