Canon teams up with Star Movies to promote Legria camcorders

NEW DELHI: Imaging products manufacturer Canon has teamed up with Star Movies to promote its Legria camcorders.

Says Canon Singapore regional marketing manager Carol Lim, “Star Movies provides a unique, tailor-made platform to reach cinema lovers across Asia. As an imaging specialist, Canon is looking forward to continuing and expanding our collaboration with Star.”

The company has also launched its campaign which includes television commercials that are already on air, contests, billboards and tags. For on ground promotion, Canon has roped in Star Movies as its official TV partner for the 2009 Singapore International Film Festival.

Moreover, Canon has sponsored Star Movies’ weekly themed package Indie Spirit for the next nine weeks. Under the Indie Spirit segment, the movie channel will telecast movies including Once and Love In The Time Of Cholera.

“With Indie Spirit, we are able weave together a comprehensive package and deliver demographics of movie fans and aspiring filmmakers that are ideal for Canon’s products,” adds Star manager – Advertising Sales Awantika Sood.

In addition, Star Movies will an exclusive movie screening of a new release for Canon's clients in Singapore in June while Canon ad banners will run on Star Movies homepage.
