LG launches new range under ‘Stars of India’ brand

NEW DELHI: LG Electronics India has launched a new range of products under the brand ‘Stars of India’.

LG has launched the range of products based on Indian consumer insight.

LGEIL managing director Moon B Shin says,“ ‘Stars of India’, the Indian Insight based products have provided us with a great opportunity to relate with the Indian consumer even better. It’s a proof of LG India’s commitment to the Indian consumers. Owing to our new brand Identity we aim at successfully establishing ourselves as a refreshing brand, improving Indian consumers’ lives through stylish design which is sophisticated, trend-setting and contemporary. In lieu of this, we have come out with this distinctive and interesting range of products creating an impact on the consumers mind.”

With the launch of the new product categories, LG targets a market share of 30 per cent in LCD TVs, frost free refrigerators, top loading washing machine, split air conditioners convection microwave ovens. And in the GSM phone category, the company is targeting 10 per cent market share.

Further to promote its new brand, the company has drawn up a marketing budget of about Rs 250 million.

“Indian Insight products are certainly one of the most exclusive and magnificent offering from LG Electronics in the country. We have announced a marketing campaign to communicate the brand’s strategy more effectively to the consumer. The publicity will be undertaken via both above the line and below the line activities with a total investment of about Rs 250 million.”

Over all, LG is looking at 20 per cent growth across categories.
