SingTel Singapore Grand Prix to offer early bird pricing on F1 race tickets

MUMBAI: In order to give the 2009 Formula SingTel Singapore Grand Prix a push, Singapore GP has announced early bird special tickets now going on sale.

Tickets for various stands at the second edition of the race will be available online for purchase for racing enthusiasts worldwide. The event takes place from 25-27 September.

The early bird F1 tickets are available online on http://tickets.singaporegp.sg. With the release of this offer, which consists of up to 50 per cent of the available inventory for grandstand and walkabout passes, there will be an advantage of an average discount of 15 per cent on the regular 2009 prices.

In all, a total of 72,000 tickets will be released. This is an increase of 2000 tickets when compared to the initial release last year.

2009 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix tickets will be available in India through select trade partners namely Junior Sports Services (SportzVillage), Kuoni Travels, Travel Port Holidays and Varunair Services.

The 2008 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix was attended by over 100,000 spectators, of which more than 40 per cent were tourists. All race enthusiasts were engaged in the thrill of the first and only Formula 1 night race, especially with the month-long festivities surrounding the race throughout the island-nation.

2009 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix positions itself as being the world’s only Formula 1 night race and Asia’s first street circuit race being held in Singapore for the second consecutive year.
