NEW DELHI: IBN Network along with the recently launched online property In.com has kicked off a new contest ‘Do the Dostana Dance Challenge’ for the soon-to-be-eleased movie, Dostana.

Beginning today, the contest will invite people from across the country to send in videos of them dancing to the song ‘Desi girl’ from the film.

Says IBN Network editor-in-chief Rajdeep Sardesai, “To continue with the constant endeavour to deliver programming that is inclusive and interactive, IBN Network’s ‘Do the Dostana Dance Challenge’ will not only give all its viewers a chance to participate in a one-of-a-kind contest but also win an exciting opportunity to rub shoulders with the stars of today.”

In addition, the Network has created various touch points like postal services or videos can even be uploaded on dostana.in.com, the microsite created on In.com for viewers to send their videos through. Also live auditions will also take place in cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, Ahemdabad, Mumbai, Bangalore and Lucknow.

From 13 October onwards, the shortlisted entries will be showcased during CNN-IBN and IBN7’s daily entertainment shows E-Tonight and Tadka. The entries will also be uploaded on dostana.in.com. Viewers will be able to vote for their favourite contestant by sending an SMS to 52622 or by logging on to dostana.in.com.

The winners of the contest will perform with the stars of the movie including Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and John Abraham in a special show on CNN-IBN, IBN7 and IBN-Lokmat on 14 November.
