MUMBAI: Nokia Nseries has announced Discover Soul of the Night (SOTN), a unique new-age tech challenge that invites users from across India to discover, capture and share stories about nightlife in their cities through their mobile devices.

This initiative comes together with the new Nokia N82, Nokia's latest multimedia computer that looks to redefine mobile photography. Nokia N82 allows users to take good quality images at night, find new locations and share images over the internet with their friends instantaneously and seamlessly.

The SOTN Wireless Adventure initiative will take place in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai, over three consecutive weeks, starting in the last week of March. The adventure will be flagged off at one of the most iconic spots in each city and aim to hunt down the most happening party taking place on that evening.

It will pit 10 teams against each other to discover the best "hangout" venues, "night spots" and "hidden treasures" that symbolise the spirit of the city's nightlife - all using the new Nokia N82 multimedia computer. The "adventure" will finish when the teams reach the final destination. The grand prize winner in each city will get an all-expenses-paid trip for 2 to Las Vegas.

To win the Wireless Adventure, the teams will need to harness the power of the Nokia N82 to navigate through the streets of their city at night. They will receive clues that will lead them to discover different landmarks (restaurants/cafes, bars, nightclubs, performance arts venues, night attractions, night sports, shopping and others), and then capture and share images instantaneously on the internet through the Nseries MBlog application, revealing the "Soul of the Night" in their city in the shortest possible time.

Nokia India GTM country head Vineet Taneja says, "Nokia believes in enabling connectivity, between people, technology and applications. We aren't just giving consumers a higher mega pixel camera or a powerful new Xenon flash; we're extending the photography experience in the way only a multi-functional GPS-enabled device like the Nokia N82 can.

"This is the perfect platform for Nokia to showcase the capabilities of the Nokia N82 and empower users to unravel India's 'Soul of the Night' leveraging mobile and Web 2.0 functionalities."

Tech enthusiasts can sign up on the Discover the Soul of the Night website (www.soulofthenight.in), which is also known as the Online Night Guide. To register, applicants will be required to submit their particulars, answer five questions to test their knowledge of nightlife in their city.

Registrations will close on 15 March for Delhi, 22 March for Mumbai and 29 March for Bangalore.
