Tag Media appoints Kapil Bahri as VP sales

MUMBAI: Tag Media Network, an in-store television company, has roped in Kapil Bahri as vice president, sales.

Based out of Delhi, Bahri will report to Tuhin Mishra, executive VP national sales and marketing. In his new capacity, Bahri will be responsible for the marketing and sales operations of the company in the Northern and Eastern regions.

Prior to this appointment, Bahri was with Zee Network Ltd as deputy vice president sales and marketing.

“The Tag Media model has given me the confidence that its time has come in India. We are encouraged by the confidence that has been placed in us by global marketing majors. I believe it is a sure fire recipe for success,” stated Bahri.

“The North and East are critical markets for Tag. As we continue to expand our reach in these regions, it is critical that we have a senior executive with strong local knowledge at the helm,” Tag Media executive VP national sales and marketing Tuhin Mishra added.

The retail partners of TAG Media include Spencer’s, More, Foodworld and Indiabulls Mart. With approximately 450 stores across India, the company aims to open around 1000 stores pan India by March 2009 with a special focus on the North and East markets.

Tag Media Network COO PR Satheesh said, “We are very excited that Kapil is joining us. His rich experience in the North and East markets would be a great asset to us. We are growing rapidly in both of these regions, and Kapil will play a major role in this continued growth.”

Bahri has an experience of nine years in marketing and media industry in India. He has also worked with India TV and ETC.
