Phoenix Mills assigns marketing communication duties for ‘Market City’ to RMG

MUMBAI: Phoenix Mills has appointed RMG Connect, the relationship marketing unit of JWT, as the marketing communication agency, to nationally develop its forthcoming retail-led mixed-use development project "Market City."

Phoenix Mills says that the aim of Market Cities is to set up the country’s largest shopping, entertainment and business destination cities within cities.

Market City resources head Nilesh Louzado says, “The nature of our business required an understanding of B2B and retail, and we found a good partner in RMG Connect to support our plans.”

The first projects envisaged are in Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune and Chennai. Each one promises to be the first of its kind built at a mammoth scale to include offerings of serviced apartments, hotels, office complex, entertainment centres, multiplexes, night clubs led by retail.

These developments will also serve as community spaces within space-starved cities speckled with promenades and sidewalks.

JWT’s national head of integrated services Charulata Ravi Kumar says, “This is a very exciting opportunity for us to work on such a spectacular plan right from its early development to its final fruition. It’s a project like never before, and we will be drawing upon all our specialised skills in retail and B2B."
