MUMBAI: Percept Knorigin, the digital media arm of Percept has acquired Searchize, a search engine marketing company.

Searchize was started in 2004 by Ryan Govindan, a search engine whiz with more than nine years experience after his stint with Pinstorm. Over the last three years, Searchize has grown to a team of 15 main operations, managing multiple domestic and overseas clients.

Searchize has a range of search-related marketing and analytics services including organic search optimisation, contextual paid advertising on popular search platforms like Google, Yahoo! and MSN.

Percept Knorigin head (search and ad network operations) Ryan Govindan said, “I am impressed with the thought process at Percept Knorigin and I believe that a complete 360-degree solution in digital media can bring in more value to clients than standalone creative, search or display ad solutions offered by most of the online ad agencies.”

“Percept’s ad network, Adchakra, has been successful in aggregating a lot of vertical and regional publishers and we would be applying sophisticated behavioral and contextual algorithms to serve and manage our ads more effectively to improve ROI for our customers.”

Percept Knorigin MD Viraj Malik said, “We were impressed with the quality of work which Ryan and his team delivered for one of our client engagements. They have invested in the processes and intellectual property (IP) for providing these.

"We would be able to provide larger landscape to team Searchize so that the search optimisation IP developed by the team can benefit a larger set of customers."
