MUMBAI: DHL India has received a bronze award in the 'Direct Mail' category at the 2007 Young Gun Awards. It has been awarded for its promotion of DHL's services via a desktop calendar.

The desktop calender was designed in the motif of flags of countries around the world, known as 'DHL Flags'.

DHL Flags is ideated and designed by Shirin Johari at O&M. DHL Express India had the direct mailer created to promote DHL's corporate proposition: 'We deliver anywhere'.

The 'DHL Flag' campaign is developed on the theme and motifs of flags of lesser-known countries around the world in such a way that every time one turned to the required month, a new flag appeared.

DHL Express India marketing head Chandrashekhar Pitre said, "An internationally recognised jury has highly evaluated a connection that focuses on our ability to deliver anywhere even to smaller countries and territories like Burkina Faso, Cayman Island, Liberia."

"This award encourages us to further launch unique and innovative programs and products so that DHL can continue to serve our customers in India as their partner for business success", Pitre added.

The annual Young Gun Awards are given to inspire the young creative minds in the world and is based on the three criteria of strategy, creativity and results. Its focus is to demonstrate that some of the best creativity globally is from emerging and young talent.
