MUMBAI: With the second most-watched event on US television the Oscar Awards scheduled to take place on 24 February 2008, MasterCard will air three spots during ABC's broadcast.

Of these, Land is the first animated MasterCard spot to debut during the Oscars.

A new "Priceless" television spot, Land is a 30-second animated spot for MasterCard BusinessCard showing a person leaping from a corporate career to pursue his own “big idea” and become a successful small business owner.

It is one of the two new TV executions breaking during the broadcast of the Oscars. The other spot is the 60-second Studious Pupil. Another spot is called Dinner Out. The third spot debuted in mid-January and has since been appearing in general brand rotation.

MasterCard Worldwide VP of US brand marketing Chris Jogis says, "Land conveys an entrepreneur’s dream to break away from the corporate world in favour of running one’s own business. The creative is reflective of how many small business owners pursued their vision and journeyed into entrepreneurship."

Land is the second MasterCard spot for small business featuring this themed animation. The first, entitled Small Business Trip, debuted in October 2007 and helped launch MasterCard Easy Savings – a new savings programme for MasterCard BusinessCard.

In India, the Oscars will air on Star Movies on 25 February live from 6:30 am.
