MUMBAI: Wizcraft International has won 'the best multiple-day event programe for a corporation or association' for the 'Volkswagen Mumbai Cross Culture Experience' at the Gala Special Event 2008 awards ceremony in Atlanta. The award has made Wizcraft the first ever winner from India.

Other major winners at the Special Events Awards are MGM Mirage Events Las Vegas; the Special Event Company, London; Marketing and More, Germany, Total Event Resources, Illinois and Circ Corporate Experience.

Wizcraft International director Sabbas Joseph on receiving the award said, "It is an attestation of Wizcraft's ability to compete among the best in the world, it is also a clear sign that the brand activation and event management industry in India is coming of age and is ready to be recognised among the best in the world."

The Gala Awards by Special Events magazine highlight the best work among global event companies. The global special events community chooses the winners for the outstanding work.

Nearly 1000 special event professionals were present at the award night in Atlanta to honor the winners of the Gala Awards 2008. The black-tie ceremony witnessed wizards of the global events industry under one roof.
