MUMBAI:
Following the recent exit of Starcom MediaVest Group's Asia-Pacific
CEO D Sriram, the Southeast Asia region is now to be looked
after by the company's South Asia CEO Ravi Kiran. Paul Maher
(CEO Hong Kong, Taiwan and South China) is to shoulder responsibilities
as Northeast Asia CEO.
As
Starcom's South Asia CEO, Kiran has so far overseen the markets
in India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. As a
result of this change, he will now look after such markets
as Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia.
Confirming
his new portfolio, Kiran said: "I'm excited about the
new responsibilities vested with me, and look forward to taking
up the challenges involving my new portfolio." He also
added, "Consequent to this division of responsibilities
between Maher and me, there's no Asia CEO as such."
In
addition to Hong Kong, Taiwan and South China, as Northeast
Asia CEO Maher will now supervise Starcom's operations in
Beijing, Korea and Japan.
