Big Street activates bus shelters in Bangalore & Chennai

MUMBAI: In an attempt to expand its reach, Big Street, the OOH (out of home) division of Reliance ADAG has taken the ‘Street Furniture’ route by activating 172 hi-tech bus shelters in Bangalore and 500 bus shelters in Chennai.

Additionally it is also in the process of installing seven LED (light emitting diode) in Bangalore.

In Mumbai, Big Street owns an inventory of 575 pole kiosks on the Western Express Highway, 217 Airoli bridge pole kiosk at Airoli bridge in Navi Mumbai. In Ahmedabad’s Ashram Road, it owns 35 hoardings and five gantries.

Commenting on the growth plans, Big Street VP business development Jayyant Bhokare said, “There are enough and more opportunities and great potential to bring in international quality into India and that is just the route that Big Street plans to take. The next four to five years will witness a steady growth in Street Furniture which will help in clearing the clutter of the billboards visibility.”

Rolling its grip over the advertising rights space, Big Street has also bagged the advertising rights for Chennai IT corridor, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s 10 underground stations and ad rights for 417 Chandigarh Transport Undertaking buses in Chandigarh.

Strengthing its inventory base down south, Big Street has installed five Hydraulic mobile vans in Hyderabad and 10 mobile Hydraulic mobile vans in Cochin respectively.

“We want to be a leader in the OOH space, providing quality and effective consumer-centric innovative solutions. In the years to come, we want to be known as solutions provider and not merely media providers,” added Bokhare.
