MUMBAI: For the first time in India, Kwality Walls, HLL, has launched a calcium enriched product with goodness of milk called Moo.

Moo is a combination of vanilla and chocolate It positions itself as being a treat for children but also a healthier option over unhealthy snacks.

Moo contains calcium which is derived from milk itself. Calcium forms the structural component of bones, teeth and soft tissues. It is very important during early development stage of the skeletal system. Bone growth, bone remodeling, and the timing of skeletal maturation are all profoundly affected by calcium status throughout the growing period. Hence calcium is very important for children for the formation and strength of the bone.

Moo is extremely low on calorie – only 54 Kcal per stick. Also Moo has only five - six per cent fat composition. This makes it an ideal treat at any time of the day and can be had more often over other unhealthy snacks which provide calories without any added nutritional benefits.

HLL says that like all other Kwality Wall’s offerings, Moo is produced with state of the art quality and safety standards that make it pathogen free, thereby ensuring that it does not cause cold, cough and sore throat in kids.

Before being launched in India, Moo was available in the Asian markets of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Pakistan.

Moo has a cow spotted look and creamy taste. It comes in various forms – a 60 ml (35 g) stick priced at Rs.10 and a 900ml (463 g) brick priced at Rs. 80.
