MUMBAI: The Clio Awards executive director Ami Brophy has announced that NDTV Media has been signed on as the official Indian partner, with the specific objective of promoting the Clio Awards in the Indian marketplace

NDTV will be responsible for hosting special screenings, exhibitions and events running up to the 48th Annual Clio Awards 2007 to be held from 9 - 12 May in Miami, Florida.

Commenting on this new partnership, Brophy said she expects a far greater participation from Indian entries, delegates and jury members. Additionally, the awards have also organised special delegate promotions to encourage more Indian representation.

Currently on a visit to India, Brophy has interacted with the heads of various networks and "observed enthusiasm from several Indian agencies". Among the agencies, Ogilvy will host their creative worldwide summit at the Clio Awards, while Leo Burnett and JWT will also be actively involved.

"We are very excited about getting into the Indian market and hope to get a much greater response than in the last couple of years. In fact, last year India took away two statues at the awards and we expect that number to grow," added Brophy.
