Kingfisher announces Golden boot contest this soccer season

MUMBAI: Beer brand Kingfisher, the King of Good Times! Kingfisher from United Breweries has alunched the Kingfisher Golden Boot Contest for football fans.

All participants have to do is to guess the footballer who will kick the highest number of goals. They will win two tickets for the Oktoberfest 2006 in Germany to keep the good times rolling. The last day for entries is 1 July 2006 and the results will be announced after the tournament.

 

To win two tickets one has to do is sms KF to 3636. There will be five options on your screen with four players’ names and the last one as ‘none of the above’. Select one of the options and in case one feels that it is none of the players who can kick the highest number of goals then try again next day to sms and get a new list of players to chose from. To participate one could also log on to www.kingfisherworld.com .

The German Oktoberfest 2006 is an annual month long festival in Bavaria to enjoy german food and a fantastic german holiday with beer in specially created shacks and beer tents.

In order to add to the world cup fever, Kingfisher also plans to hold special match screenings and promotions in restaurants and pubs across India with ad campaigns in print, radio and television along with merchandise like football shaped ashtrays.
