Ogilvy & Mather India launches Ogilvy Sport

MUMBAI: Ogilvy & Mather has launched Ogilvy Sport to provide strategic marketing counsel to business partners through stages of association.

Prashant Singh has been appointed as head of Ogilvy Sport. The division will offer sports marketing consultancy, property representation and sales, licensing and merchandising, new media and event management.

Singh started his career in sports marketing with an online brand called Cricketnext.com and subsequently worked with Nimbus, Fosters, Lowe Lintas (Octagaon) and Fresh Brew Communications.

Ogilvy Sport will endeavour to deliver value by bringing the rigor and processes of other marketing and communications disciplines to the table and leading customers.

O&M India CEO Pratap Bose said, "Ogilvy Sport will be a professionally run sports’ marketing outfit. Ogilvy recently also played a part in the BCCI bid for the Cricket World Cup in 2011.
