Indranil Datta to head Starcom Bangalore; Rathore moves to Mumbai as investment group head

MUMBAI: Publicis Groupe owned Starcom Worldwide today announced the appointment of Indranil Datta as executive director in charge of its Bangalore operations.

Subsequently, Starcom veteran Dinesh Singh Rathore, media director, who has been in charge of the agency?s Bangalore operations for the last five years, is slated to move to Mumbai as head of India Investment Group, the agency?s national negotiation team, reporting to Manish Porwal, Starcom?s executive director, India-West.

Datta comes to Starcom from Bates Colombo where he has been media head since February 2005.

Before moving to Bates Colombo, Datta headed Zenith Media?s Delhi office for over five years and was part of the founding team of Publicis Groupe owned ZenithOptimedia, when the agency was launched in mid-2004.
