Barista bags music launch
rights for 'Chai Pani etc'

NEW DELHI: In a bid to further its connect with today's
youth, Barista Coffee Company has aligned with Duniya Vision Production,
bagging the exclusive music launch rights for Manu Rewal's movie Chai
Pani etc.
Under this exclusive retail agreement, over 50 Barista Espresso Bars
across Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune,
Chandigarh and Baroda will sell audio CDs of the movie. Music CDs
for the movie will only be available at Barista outlets.
Sawant Dutta makes her entry into the film industry
by composing the music for this movie. A company release informs that
the music album also has a couple of Rajasthani Manganiar folk songs
sung by internationally acclaimed Ghazi Khan, who again makes his
debut in the Indian film industry with Chai Pani etc.
Commenting on the synergies of this association, Barista
Coffee Company chief operating officer Brotin Banerjee said, "We
believe that music, art and theatre is central to the Barista experience.
Barista is a place, which not only offers a person, an exquisite experience
but also an atmosphere to relax, enjoy and cherish. And this promotion
with Duniya Vision corroborates our views."
"The alliance with Barista is done keeping in mind the target
audience for the movie. This effort has also been initiated to help
fight piracy in the music industry by directly reaching the target
audience," said Chai Pani etc director Manu Rewal.
The movie is releasing on 11 March, 2005 featuring
Konkana Sen Sharma, Zafar Karachiwala and Channel [V] VJ Gaurav Kapur.
Written, produced and directed by Manu Rewal, the movie is a satire,
featuring Konkana Sen Sharma in a double role.
