UTV acquires airtime sales rights for Gemini TV show

MUMBAI: UTV Software Communications Ltd has acquired the airtime sales right for new show on Gemini TV titled Shree Lakshmi Nivaasam.

The family soap, produced by Suresh Television, is telecast on weekdays between 7 pm to 7.30 pm. The serial was launched on 11 July.


UTV Software Communications Ltd director Ronald D'Mello says, "South India has always been a very important and key market for us. The company has seen many milestones from this market; these include Chitti, Annamalai, Alaigal. This year UTV expects close to 90 per cent of the company's air time sales business from South India that is a very diverse and dynamic market compared with the rest of the country offering a huge potential."



Presently UTV is handling the airtime sales for Kolangal ((Sun TV), Alli Rajyam (Weekly show over Sun TV) and Gee Boomba (Daily format for over Gemini TV targeted towards Kids) in the South Indian market.



UTV currently markets several programs on Sun and Gemini TV, including Kolangal, a daily which is the number one ranked program on Sun TV, produced by Vikatan Televistas. UTV has in the past marketed Annamalai, Avargal on Sun TV and Shivaiah Seethamma Ma Yamma on Gemini.
