Lays Chaat Street launches 'Yeh Dosti Hungama'

MUMBAI: FritoLay India has launched an exciting initiative – Lay’s Chaat Street Yeh Dosti Hungama - which gives consumers an opportunity to meet the Chaat Street friends --- Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta and Rahul Khanna.


All one needs to do is purchase Lays Chaat Street potato chips worth Rs 40, go to their nearest redemption centre to exchange the wrappers for a scratch card and fill in a coupon to get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the trio.



The promo supports the Chaat Street range of potato chips, which was launched from the Lay’s stable in December 2004, and has been received well by the consumers.

This launch offered consumers new ‘Indian street chaat’ tastes on chips and was supported by a TV campaign featuring Saif, Preity and Rahul.



Apart from getting a chance to be the lucky ones to meet the Lay’s Chaat Street friends, the scratch card entitles consumers to get a guaranteed win of one of five prizes - a free special edition Teekha Bindaas 12” pizza at Pizza Hut, a two litre bottle of Pepsi, a ‘Yeh dosti’ special edition audio cassette, a star cards game set or a Rs 5 pack of Lays Chaat Street.

Speaking on the promotion, FritoLay marketing director Sucheta Govil said, "Lay’s today stands in the consumers’ mind as the No 1 potato chip brand in the country, which brings world class, flavourful potato chips to Indian consumers. The Yeh Dosti promotion reinforces Lay’s Chaat Street’s core values of youthful, bindaas fun with friends."

A 360-degree marketing and promotional campaign will be supported with 800 redemption centers across 15 cities. The promotion has a special tie up with Pizza Hut. The campaign will be communicated by a creatively designed television commercial (TVC) for the ‘Yeh Dosti Hungama’ contest. This 15-second commercial is created by JWT.
